  1. Kia Ora Amanda,

I am Davarni and I am also participating in the SLJ. I love how you have a wide variety of vegetables and fruit. It's kind of you to help your grandpa by feeding him fresh and healthy food, good thinking!

I hope your grandpa gets better in time :)

    1. Hello Davarni :)

It's sad that the SLJ Programme has come to an end right? How do you feel after educating during the holidays? Is your brain still active? Well my one is, it's so active that I forget that it's even the holidays!

To be honest, I LOVE VEGETABLES! I'm not keen on fruits! Kinda weird but it's really nice. But my grandpa eats both and growing vegetables/fruits would help him save money. I sure do hope he get's better!

Thank you for commenting on my blog and I'll make sure to comment on yours too :)

      Thanks,
      Amanda

  2. Hello Amanda,
I am Vitaraag. I would plant the same things. It is very kind of you to send your grandfather heal. Maybe next time you could add why you planted them.

If you didn't know already, I'd plant them for my grandfather of course to heal him from his sickness. Before he rests in peace in heaven I'd want him to eat yummy food with the vegetables I planted with his family to make him feel at ease before he goes.

      Thanks again for commenting :)

  4. Kia ora Amanda,

I'm a student from Canada and its cool to read about things going on in other parts of the world! You should be proud of yourself for trying to take care of your grandfather. Also I can't help but notice all the foods you picked are delicious, glad that fresh fruits and vegetables are appreciated everywhere!

    Thanks,
    Madi

  5. Hello Amanda,
I think you are a very healthy and fit person, reading how many varied fruits and veges you have wrote. I think it is so thoughtful of you to send some of your garden food to your grandfather, so he can heal. I especially love your veges choice, it's just so healthy and green. My favourite is strawberries, raspberries, cucumber and avocado.

    What is your favourite vege/fruit?

    Happy blogging

    1. Hi Gargee!

Nice to see another comment from you :) I wouldn't say I'm fit or healthy, I just enjoy eating vegetables and fruits don't you? To be honest... I don't really understand why some people don't like broccoli! I'd say that are one of my favourite vegetables...

I love Avacado, Mango, Yam and Tomatoes! I really enjoy eating food, do you?

      Thanks,
      Amanda

  6. Kia Ora Amanda,

Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'Protective Plant', and for telling us about all of the wonderful vegetables and fruits you'd like to grow in your garden.
Wow— look at all of the attention you're attracting! This is the longest thread I've seen on any students blog page! You must be thrilled :)
The fruits and veggies you'd like to grow sound wonderful, I'm glad you've included some veggies from Tonga, too. I'm so sorry to hear that your Grandpa is not well— you're such a wonderful Granddaughter for wanting to grow healthy food for him.

I hope that you keep blogging with us!

    Cheers,

    Jordan

    1. Hello Jordan :)

Honestly, I am so grateful for the amount of comments and feedback I've been receiving from students that are from different schools and clusters. I was kinda shocked too because before I'd usually get one l or 2 comments but I have been gaining more comments! This all happened because I chose to become a participant of the Summer Learning Journey. This all makes me feel happy.

It'd save a lot of money and work for my family in Tonga if I sent them the Tongan veggies I grew myself because in Tonga my family would sell these Tongan vegetables to get money. I'm also sorry that my grandpa is not well but he's getting there!

      Thank you :),
