SLJ: A Flying Fox

Kia Ora! To be honest for this activity  I didn't really know if I had to explain how I would feel if I had the chance to go and experience it or if I just had to talk about how I felt about having the opportunity to go so I decided to do both! I hope I didn't do anything wrong here :)

  1. Hello Amanda
I am Vitaraag. I would of had the same feeling as you when I went on the zip line. Maybe next time you could add writing about your feelings.

    1. Kia ora Vitaraag,

I am so excited to see that you have decided to jump over to the Kootuitui cluster and comment on the work that Amanda has been doing. It looks like she has been putting a lot of effort into her posts.

I really like how you have personalised your message to respond to Amanda's work. Maybe next time you could introduce yourself and what school you go to and then finish off with a link to your work. You could even direct Amanda to your response to this activity so she can head over and comment on it.

Keep up the awesome work, Vitaraag,
      Megan :)

  2. Mōrena Amanda,

Well done for completing yet another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'A Flying Fox' and for telling us whether or not you'd like to have a go at ziplining in Rotorua. I was really able to picture you ziplining above a canopy of trees in Rotorua with your excellent use of adjective langauge, well done!
I particularly enjoyed this bit: "When I go, I can see myself shouting with happiness! I'd be examining the green environment" — what kind of greenery would you expect to see there?

I really enjoy ziplining, even though I sometimes get vertigo when I'm standing on the edge thinking about whether or not I'd like to jump off. I went ziplining a few months ago now, back in Adelaide, and it was SO much fun— I really felt free.

I look forward to reading your next post, but I see that you've completed the last activity for the SLJ programme— I'm sad to see this because you were doing SO well, especially with the presentation of your work, but I understand that school is starting up shortly and you need to go and enjoy yourself too. What are you going to get up to? :)

    Cheers,

    Jordan

    1. Kia Ora Jordan :)

I could picture myself zip lining too! I would be expecting my long legs slightly touching the ferns and the rough leaves as I glide. I'd see towering tall trees that'd look like a secret entrance to a hidden dimension!

Going zip lining was such an amazing experience, I felt so much freedom. I went zip lining at Sonshine Ranch which is near Edmund Hillary School, the ranch would allow us to play on an amazing playground, ride with horses, interact with many animals and so many more!

I was really looking forward to posting a lot more but I figured that I should take my eyes off the screen for a while... I'd still be posting things I've done for the holidays though! Family from Tonga and Blenheim has been coming to visit and they're all beginning to go...

So that means all I'm going to be doing is visit more family from my Dad's side and hanging out with my friends.

      Thanks,
      Amanda

  3. Hey Amanda

My name is Araura and I am from Wesley primary school. I am also taking part in the Summer Learning journey.

If that was me I would have been terrified.

I love how you added alot of detail in the text.

Maybe you could have made the writing alittle bigger because it is a little hard to see.

Anyways keep up the amazing work

    Yours sincerely
    Araura ☺️
