SLJ: The Sky in Shanghai

Hello, this activity really had me thinking... I mean I'd be 100% sure that I'd love to go to Beijing but I'm only half because the air pollution is just shocking! I can't even express how I feel about that!
But I would go there to relax and enjoy the wonders of Beijing and to help with the problem! I have also tried to make the font bigger! I hope it's better this time!

  1. Kia Ora Amanda,

Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'The Sky in Shanghai', and for telling us whether or not you'd like to travel to Beijing. The activity has actually asked you to write a poem for this particular task, so unfortunately I will only be able to reward you with half points until you've written a poem about how you'd feel about travelling to Beijing.
I am glad to hear that you're interested in the Asian culture, I can understand this to be true as I remember the task where you showed us how to make sushi.
It's wonderful that you'd like to help with the pollution problem that the country is currently facing— how would you help?
I agree with you, eating food from the country of origin is much more satisfying!

    Keep up the great work!

    Cheers,

    Jordan

    1. Hello Jordan!

I'm deeply sorry for not doing the activity correctly! The Asian culture really is interesting their music, food, traditions and many more amuses me. To be honest Jordan, I don't really know how to help Beijing with the problem they're facing right now...

But I have been imagining myself talking to the Chinese government about the factories they're using and try to convince them to reduce the amount of gas the factories produce.

      Thanks,
      Amanda

  2. Hello Amanda,

Your post really got me into China! I also think it is a very unique and amazing country filled with the best foods. I agree with your concern about Beijing's air pollution and China's air pollution in general. However I disagree with you saying it would be dangerous to try and help. People in China who live in places where there is lots of pollution always wear masks to make sure they don't breathe the bad air. Next time, make sure that you don't forget to increase the font size as it was a little hard to read, and make sure you include that people who live in polluted places in China always wear a mask.

    Great post!

    Happy blogging

  3. Hello Amanda,
I am Vitaraag. This blog post starting making me think Beijing air pollution sometimes ruins Beijing. I disagree with you saying to help stop it because it is dangerous because you can not breath in air pollution if you do it can be fatal.
