SLJ: Favourite Food

Hello people! For this activity I have been asked to choose one of my favourite foods, which is Sushi! Why do I like Sushi? I like Sushi because I am a fan of meat and vegetables and sushi has
that! I have explained how to make it at home. Enjoy!

  1. Kia Ora, Amanda!

Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity! WOW— you keep on impressing me with your presentation skills. Thanks so much for showing us how to make sushi and even including the metric system in your presentation. This is the best post I've seen all week, so I've given you a little shout out on my Google + profile here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JordanSLJKootuitui

Do you know anything else about the Japanese culture? I love Japanese food and culture, especially anime! I travelled to Japan two years ago and I have the pleasure of being able to go back next year in May. Would you like to travel some day?

I look forward to your next post!

    Thanks,

    Jordan

  2. Hello Jordan!

Thank you so much for the kind thing you've mentioned :) I love the Japanese Culture, I've posted some work about Japan actually! I never knew you were interested in Anime, I love reading Manga books and binge watching Anime all day!

Wow... You've been to Japan?! To be honest, I'd love to go to Japan but as you know I am a "stay at home" girl! But at the same time I'd love to go eat the yummy food there and take a look at the Sakura Tree.

I'm going to make sure to take a look at your little shout out! It's a pleasure knowing that you liked my presentation :)

    Thank you,
    Amanda

    1. Ohayo gozaimasu Amanda san!

Yes— I went a couple of years ago now, it's incredible! I too enjoy manga and anime— my favourite anime is Dragon Ball Z, what's yours?
My partner and I are going to Japan this coming May and we've decided to ride our bikes around. This is what is known as 'cycle-touring'— I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures! Maybe you'll get to visit Japan, too, someday?

  3. Kia Ora Amanda!,
WOWW! This work is so eye-catching. I really like what you have chosen for your favorite food. You have told us how to make this but in full detail. Your background and layout looks so awesome! Please tell me, If you owned a sushi shop would you use this same recipe?

Have you ever made this before? Or do you like by store?

You definitely deserved that shoutout!, Congratulations :)

    Cheers,
    Roseena

    1. Hello Roseena!
Thank you so much! I don't think I'm capable enough to own a sushi shop but if I did, I wouldn't use this recipe because it belongs to someone else... I'd create my own special recipe for customers to enjoy. I have made Sushi before at Papakura Intermediate, it was such an amazing experience.

      Thank you,
      Amanda

My name is Lydia and I am a year 7 student from Tamaki Primary! I really love your presentation of how to make Sushi! It is so detailed and I like how you added how long it will take and how much people it can serve! I love Sushi so much myself! Have you ever made Sushi at home?

    1. Hello Lydia!

I have made sushi at Papakura Intermediate for Technology... To be honest it was such a fun experience because I learnt a few things while making the sushi. But the best part of making the sushi was getting to eat it!

You can't disagree with me right? I hope you're having a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!

      Have a good Christmas,
      Amanda

    1. Kia Ora Sam,

Well done for endeavouring through the Twitter feed and for commenting on other students blog posts! Remember though— in order for Megan to be able to reward you with bonus points, we need you to write at least 3 sentences.
What ways do you think that Amanda can improve her post? How can you suggest she improve her recipe, even?

We look forward to your response!

      Cheers,

      Jordan
